so i have been reading the last few pages of posts to get a feel for the board. i would like to start gardening....eeeekkkkk! i have never done it before and i don't know much about plants, flowers and veggies.
i had heard about SFG months ago and would like to go that route. anyone not like SFG and why? we rent a house and will be buying and moving probably in a year, another reason i thought SFG was a good idea.
what are good items to start with? i thought of tomatoes, cucs, spinach, jalapenos, squash and then some pretty flowers. are these good choices? i will gladly take any and all advice. thanks in advance!

Re: Hi ladies- newb here
I would start simple. You can by basically square foot gardens at Sams Club right now for about $40. Much cheaper than I spent last year making my own.
Stay simple. I would only do 3-4 things this year. Tomatoes, Cukes and Squash are all pretty easy to grow.
