My parents are flying in from England today and are out of communication. So I have no idea what kind of trouble they may or may not have getting into OIA. I'm in Brevard, and most of the news is concentrating on the weather happening here, but do any of you ladies who live near the airport have any information for me about what the weather looks like there? Has anyone heard how the storm is affecting air travel to and from Orlando? Thanks for any information you can give!
Re: OIA - any news
Man, I hope you are doing well in Brevard. Everybody is focusing on Brevard -- it doesn't look great. (It is just never ending for y'all -- the storm keeps going and going and giving y'all the majority of this storm.)
Oh, I did notice that some flights have been cancelled, but OIA still stays that they are fine and operational and that Fay isn't a problem.
Mom and Dad are safely on the ground in Orlando!!! They didn't have any problems. They were surprised to hear about the weather when I they finally called me. Now they just have to make it home (on the roads).
The weather here has been windy and rainy all day. Streets around me are flooded, but our neighborhood seems to be doing well. Poor Barefoot Bay and Palm Bay area.. they are getting the worst of it.
School is still closed tomorrow, and DH (who works for the county) is also being told to stay home.
