besides the fact it was gross and rainy - how was your weekend?
Ours was fun - Friday we went out to dinner, Saturday we went to visit friends of ours who have a newborn and we got to meet the baby! He's a cutie and it definitely did NOT help my baby fever. Sunday we went to the ILs (DH built a computer for them so we were bringing it down) and MIL made dinner. It was good to see them and it was nice to get out of the house!
Re: How was your weekend?
My weekend was pretty good.
Saturday morning, DH and I along with my friend went for a run (even in the rain!) and we relaxed the rest of the afternoon before I went to work. Sunday afternoon we went into Boston to meet with H's aunt who flew in from Toronto to see her nephew in the St. Patrick's Day parade. We had lunch at the Chart House and then went to the ICA for an hour or so before I had to go to work.
Today "officially" starts my weekend. Tonight I'm going to a concierge reception at Barneys and then a dinner at Sonsie. Tomorrow night DH and I are going to Limoncello for my birthday dinner. Can't wait for the sunshine this week!
Ours was nice, quiet.
Friday nights is usually our date night, so we went out for sushi. Saturday day is usually errands, so Saturday night we went to Nordstroms so DH could pick up his suit, so we just went to Legals for dinner . Hope everyone is staying dry!
I have the worst baby fever ever. It is awful!
Ours was good. Friday we did nothing which was awesome.
Saturday DH worked and I did stuff around the house - laundry and a project for the nursery.
Yesterday we went to the ILs for corned beef and cabbage. Blech. But I got to see my niece, so that is always good :-)
yeah, mine is BAD!
::crosses fingers MrT comes around soon!::
FI got a new video game last week- Final Fantasy 13- so friday night we ordered pizza and watched tv, then played video games all night. Saturday we got up and went to the mall, and walked around for a few hours. We only left with one thing though- FI's new glasses! He has never worn glasses before, so it's entertaining to see him with them. We had lunch at the mall, then went home to play more video games. I slept in SUPER late yesterday morning because of the rain (rain makes me sleepy, and it was pouring, so I slept half the day away!!), and when I woke up, we continued our video game weekend!!
As much fun as it was to sit around and have a college-reminiscent weekend, it unfortunately means that I have to work extra hard to get ready to go to Atlanta on Thursday morning.
Saturday was fun. We decided to go and visit family, so we made the rounds and everyone was very excited about the house (we signed the P&S last week, yay!) Dinner with my family was nice.
Yesterday I stayed out of the rain and did stuff around the apt, while DH went off to visit friends. Nothing crazy.
The next couple of weekends will be fairly busy. Which is good, because we'll need something to keep us distracted while we wait for the closing in mid-May!
Our weekend was pretty good. Friday we stayed in and watched a movie. Saturday I got up relatively early to play in a volleyball tournament (made it to the finals and then lost), then met friends at a bar that night. Yesterday DH and I played in our semi-regular Sunday night volleyball group. I had a couple of random "injuries" last night, like hurting my toe somehow and losing my voice.
I'm playing v-ball again tonight so we'll see if my body can withstand three days in a row of running, jumping, and hitting!
I'm surprised he didn't make you wait in the car while he dropped off the gift.
Saturday I drove my (non) friend to Shoes to Dye For in Natick because she wouldn't go herself. And of course she picked the shoes I wore for my wedding but with a smaller heel (though granted I got mine dyed silver). Our other friend (who I'm a BM in her wedding and she was mine) went with us so it wasn't so bad. And we got pretzels at Auntie Anne's. Later that night same friend was hosting a St. Patrick's Day themed party (i.e. everything was just green) and it was actually fun. The whole bottle of champagne I drank helped too. Delish.
Sunday I went to go find some "fashion" sneakers so I don't have to wear my running shoes to work now that winter is over and I'm not wearing boots. I really like New Balance shoes so I went to the outlet in Burlington and they only had a couple running shoes and that was it. I went to Off Broadway and found a pair I kinda liked but didn't love so I didn't get them. I was kinda disappointed I went home empty handed having battled the rain, but I didn't have the energy to go over to the mall. A lot of NB's non-active sneaks are white this year and I don't want white. So I may have to start looking at other brands.
I own a pair of blue Asics (sp?) I love them. If they weren't solely for running, I would wear them as "fashion sneakers."
Rock, did you play in HS or college? I think its great that you're such an avid player, I wish I'd kept up with swimming and running better, maybe even done a triathlon.
My weekend sucked cause of the rain
Dh and I went out to lunch on Saturday with the intent of going other places after but it was so rainy and cold that we just went home. Yesterday we didn't even bother going anywhere. Oh well, I guess I should just be happy that I wasn't working..
Ruth Chris is my FAVE!!!!!!!
