I don't know about ya'll but this time change is kickin' my butt!
I usually do pretty good, but we stayied up too late lastnight playing Band Hero with some friends of ours.
I've already had 1 cup of coffee and that usually wakes me up just fine but this morning I think I may have to have 2.
On a funny note our friends little boy C. He's almost 3 and for some reason he always has to do a #2 when he comes to our house...lol
C's mamma said if ever he gets constipated she's bringing him to our house for a little while. I just thought this was hillarious.
DH played with C lastnight and that was so not helping my baby fever becasue DH is so good with C. I know he's gonna be a great father.
So how was everyones weekend?
Re: uhg......time change
Ugh, I am right there with you. I just finished my first cup of coffee and I think I will have to go back for seconds.
Weekend was good I suppose. My brothers lady friend came in town this weekend and ended up staying at our house. I wasn't exactly expecting a guest for the weekend so I felt a little put out. Since she came from OOT I figured that they would go out but they opted for "low key" which translates to sister cooking for an army instead of just 2 on Saturday when we did BBQ. I'm not sure I agree with the situation because she is MARRIED but uh, yeah...that's a whole different post.
Other than that, we made some progress on the unpacking front. Now if we could get our 3rd room in order that would be great. The weather was beautiful for once...which was nice.
the weekend was fine, although i was tired all day Sunday.
Today, not so much. The VP of my division came down to my office and you know it's never good when the VP of a division comes for a visit. My job is being relocated to Kansas, i am not. I work for a pretty large size company so they are working on setting up interviews with other departments for us to go to. This means I have no idea where i'll be sent in my company, how much i'll be paid, or what i'll be doing until i get there. And after getting a stellar review and being told my bosses want to work to get me promoted in the fall, it all means nothing. I have 4 months before this all happens though.
Oh, DH and I have been our house for a year and half and we still don't have our 3rd bedroom in order. But you'll get it. I hope we can see pics soon!
Nope, the time change hasn't caused me any probs... I was soo looking forward to it being lighter later! Whoo hoo!
BUT... my new meds (the black hairy tongue ones) seem to be giving me quite the headache... and I can't sleep worth a darn-which is getting annoying...
Weekend---worked, DH and I went for our Shamrock Shakes in the rain... Yesterday, we watched Pelham 123 and we caught up on our LOST episodes cause we always fall asleep! And started our taxes... PA's the last to happen and I get to do that one...
The time change is kicking my booty too, but I had a shockingly nice weekend
. MIL was absolutely sweetness and light all weekend, and her move went really well. She hired some movers to do the big furniture, because she can't lift much, and N and I would never have been able to manage it ourselves due to the unstable stairs at her old place. We moved a bunch of boxes, and helped clean, unpack, and organize her new place.
The best news is that she decided to get rid of her dining table and chairs, because her new dining area is much smaller. Her old table is a big, solid oval that has 2 leaves and can extend to seat 8-10! It's not trendy or new, but it's in great shape, and is absolutely perfect for a family with kids. We get to pick it up on our way through town in 3 weeks (and it will go into storage until we buy a house), and we are trading her for our fridge, since we won't need it, and her new place doesn't have one. We also got a lot of great boxes to use for our move. She was glad she didn't have to throw them away, and we are glad we don't have to buy them!
We didn't get our normal grocery shopping, laundry, etc done this weekend, but we are going to do all of that tonight. Another busy week coming up!
I feel bad for you ladies...AZ doesnt participate in daylight savings. So thats nice.
Our weekend was good. We did a TON of house work. Lots of manual labor
BUT things are getting done, we've almost been in the house a year, so its about time we get things going. Like light switch covers put on! Ya no more exposed wires when turning on and off lights! I also started getting the master bedroom closet underway. We did demo when we moved in and left it at that...so I bought a shop vac yesterday and went to town cleaning up dry wall dust, riping up carpet and painting. We've been usuing the spare bedrooms closets and its high time we get the master closet done and putting that space to use!
The only reason I'm happy with daylight savings right now is because I'm an hour closer to going home. I am beat!
This weekend was fantastic! Friday I had my MRI which actually went well and quick. DH and I ended up having some buisness that needed taken care of, so we spent the evening making notes for our web designer and working on an article for a coffee magazine. Meh...
Saturday was awesome though!! It was the first day in a month that we actually took the day off. So DH and I stayed up late on Friday into Saturday morning watching new dvds we just bought. Once we finally woke up, we headed over to the comic book store to get our new stuff and then we went roller skating. It was so muhc fun. Then we went home and spent the evening watching tv and cuddling.
Sunday we had a family dinner with DH's cousin and our close friends here. We all just hungout for a while. Afterward, Dh, our business partner, and I started roasting to fill some orders we got and to taste test our roasts.
We had a rough weekend around our parts. I mentioned before that the transmission was slipping in DHs car. Well since we fired our pool guy (to save money) we had to go get a crap ton of chemicals for the pool, so we took his car (SUV). The pool store isnt too far, but by the time we got there there was smoke/steam pouring out of the engine compartment. Not good. He insisted we could drive it home, but the needle was burried past "H" on the temp gauge so I made him pull over and call a tow truck. By the time we got it there, the garage was closed, and of course they are closed on Sundays, so I am waiting to hear from them today to see what we are looking at.
One of my dogs began vomiting yesterday. He actually threw up a couple of times, then seemed to be choking something back when he was attempting to throw up some more. So we let him sleep with us and he was retching ALL NIGHT.
This morning DH had a golf tournament on the other side of town, so I had to get up take him to the golf tournament, brought the dog with us, then dropped the dog off at the vet on my way to work. It has been a busy morning and I just got to work.
It was definitely rough getting up this morning and driving into work in the dark. I was just getting use to it being light in the mornings. I will enjoy it though when it's still light at 7 PM tonight!
My weekend was pretty boing. DH and I skipped out on the St. Patrick's day parade Saturday because the weather sucked. We stayed home and did stull around the house instead.
Sunday we finished working on the house and then did some grocery shopping. We were suppose to go out for FIL b-day but my stomach had other plans so I had to send DH solo.
