I"m going to Seattle for work next week and was wondering if you could suggest any great local restaurants.
Re: **Alisha_A**
Do you know what part of Seattle you'll be working/staying in?
Best sound ever: baby's heartbeat! (Heard @ 10w1d)
According to the hotel website it's "Ideally located in the heart of Seattle?s Music and Cultural Center, within walking distance to the Pacific Science Center, Space Needle and Experience Music Project (EMP)."
My husband is joining me and we're heading down to Portland for the weekend.

Spring Hill in West Seattle

Sorry, I've been offline!
I actually live on the eastside so I am not as in the know on Seattle restaurants. Right by the space needle area is tough too! There's a hidden little place I've wanted to try over there... maybe that's 10 Mercer.
I will check my Seattle mag when I get home tonight!
Not right in that area but Tilth and Stumbling Goat are two that come to mind that focus on local foods. And maybe Skillet (a local gourmet food truck) will be near you!
Cafe Flora isn't too far and is a sustainable vegetarian/vegan restaurant that's popular http://www.cafeflora.com/
If you do feel like venturing into West Seattle, which isn't too bad from downtown, there's sustainable sushi! www.sushiwhore.com
Not sustainable, but Umi in Belltown is a good sushi place too. www.umisakehouse.com
Steelhead Diner in Pike Place http://www.steelheaddiner.com/about.htm
I love Monsoon -- http://www.monsoonrestaurants.com/seattle .
Also in West Seattle - http://www.herbanfeast.com/freshbistro
If you feel like pizza, Pagliacci's margherita is the best!
