So here's the story. Last week the dog decided to wake up at 4 AM and pee in our bedroom right next to DH's side of the bed. It wasn't really the dogs fault because he was on steriods and SOMEONE forgot to let him out before they went to bed (**cough DH cough cough**) Anywho, while DH was flipping out I grab a towel to soak as much of it up out of the carpet and then let the dog outside to finish what he started. While I was outside DH took the rug scrubber upstairs and starting cleaning. If it has been me I would have run the scrubber dry and just pulled up the rest of the pee but DH didn't know and he scrubbed it with cleaner in the scrubber. The next day it still smelled and we figured it just had to dry but then it continued to smell. So we bought specific bissel pet cleaner scrubber and scrubber it again. Still smells. So DH did the whole vinegar and baking soda deal on the rug and it STILL SMELLS!
I don't know what else to do it get the smell out. I am really irritated too because the carpet is not even a year old and we bought the uber super dope padding that is suppose to be waterproof to help with stuff like this.
Any suggestions??? I really don't want to have to replace a section of the carpet.
Re: Sorry to be a PW but I need help with dog pee smell!
Oh no, I wish I had other suggestions but you already used mine. The vinegar and baking soda one. You may have to rent one of those steam carpet cleaners from some where.
GL! Sorry I'm no help.
Hmmm, the only other thing I can think of is Nature's Miracle. Have you tried that?

Ditto. I buy it in the gallon size and refill my spray bottle. My cats think "outside the box" more than I'd like.
thritto the Nature's Miracle. We also invested in the little green steam machine and it's worth every penny!
That is what I was going to suggest as well. We bought an incredible steam cleaner from HSN after our bissell just wasnt doing the best job. That thing is amazing.
Another vote for Nature's Miracle.
It may take a few soaks with it to get the smell out - but it has worked for us.
If it doesn't do the trick - try an enzyme cleaner from the hardware store.
