Flea Dip Anyone?

Ok, so i put a post up last week about my stupid neighbor and the stupid flea problem.  Well, they came in and sprayed on Friday. We did the whole vacuume thing, and the flea bath and the meds for the cat (frontline or whatever it is called).   Then yesterday Carl found another one on him.  So he called our Maintenance company and the pest people came out here AGAIN!  I had to leave the house with the Cat and go to his aunts house.  He got some spray stuff for Minnie (our cat) and the house and car. He combed her very well yesterday and did not see anything at his aunts.  Today we did a big vacuum  again and i havent seen anything all day long, but when he sprayed Minnie again and combed her, he found some live ones.  This is SO NOT WHAT I NEED the day before im supposed to be induced.  I am trying to find somewhere that we can bring her for a flea dip, but not sure where to look.  I need to do this TOMORROW.  Does anyone have any ideas?  If i can get her dipped tomorrow, we can have Carls aunt watch her while we are at the hospital.  He is going to have maintenance come in AGAIN too.

Carl talked to the neighbor who started this whole mess and the guy acted like it was no big deal.  Told Carl that the only thing that was helping him was "vaccuming like it is going out of style".  Carl turned around and said "i shouldnt F'king have to do this Alan" and walked off.  Grrrr....  I am so paranoid that I am going to come home to a house full of fleas.  That is not good for the baby.  Im thinking of asking to postpone the induction until next week so i can try to fix this mess.  I dont know what to do!

Re: Flea Dip Anyone?

  • Or maybe i should ask, does anyone know if Cats can be "dipped"?  Now that i am researching it online, it doesnt look like it is good for them to do that and I dont want to make her sick, or worse...   Hmmm...  I guess i'll be calling the vet first thing in the morning.

  • With 3 cats % a dog, i am in the middle of majorly nasty flea infestation.  We comb and vacuum everyday, and havbe used all the spray and powders.  Last night we tried something new though that I read about on eHow.  Take pie plates & put a tealight in the midlle.  Surround w/ water and leave over night whre they are most prominent.  I had 15 of the bastards this morning.  I will be putting out more plates tonight!  It works because they are attracted to the light, so you have to be lights out before you try it (no tvs or nightlights)  I have no idea about the flea dip-sorry!
