purple or taupe?

how was Vegas?
it was fun! but man, I'm getting old - I woke up sober both days.
it was actually really nice not to be hungover. we walked around some of the hotels in the morning and I was thinking, "hey, it's not so bad to actually be able to function!"
I like the purple, but would probably opt for taupe.

I just ordered the purple - when I zoomed in, the taupe looked a little cheesy, like the material was vinyl.
I need to be buying a $75 laptop bag like I need a hole in my head, but oh well.

The muslin has been fitted and fixed and almost all of the fabric/lining pieces are cut out. Tonight is my marathon sewing session. Oh, and have I mentioned I need to have it pretty much done by tomorrow night so I can have my sewing instructor help me hem it on Thursday?

you just totally went over my head with the whole finishing seams thing. What is the difference between doing that and French seams?
