hey how did your pampered chef party go?
i still want to buy stuff for your fundraiser...just wondering if you have some of the stoneware. we had a pizza stone from PC but MIL broke it over thanksgiving so now i need another one... though not sure if i need the pizza stone per se b/c we don't eat a lot of pizza (maybe 6 times a year?). i used it more for cookies... so i was looking at the cookie pan and the rectangular baker instead b/c i could bake cookies and bars in them.... not sure about the odd size of the cookie pan though. it's not the standard 13x9 like the rectangular baker is...but then i am not sure if the higher sides of the rect. baker would prevent cookies from baking up as well? any other stonewares pieces that you love and think are must haves?
also, what do you think of the chopper thingy (food chopper)? i know it's super handy for garlic and onions and such but is it a pain to clean? i feel like with gadgets i'd almost rather just chop them the old fashioned way and have easier clean up instead...but my friend swears by this chopper thingy so i thought i'd see what you thought.
thanks amy!
would love suggestions for pampered chef products from anyone else who happens to read this post too ![]()
Re: Amy... re: Pampered Chef
Hi Jamie! The party went amazingly well - I've raised just shy of $200 for the walk and hopefully today will get a few last minute orders to push it over that $200 mark because we are closing the party order tonight.
I have the pizza stone as well and use it mostly for baking stuff. I'm not bowled over by it. The only stoneware piece that is a MUST for me is the Deep Covered Baker. It's amazing. You can cook in the microwave too which is awesome (and frankly, something I never think about).
I have the food chopper and I love it. It's not a pain to clean at all. The pieces all come apart and I put it in the dishwasher. The problem them I have with it is that I forget to use it!
I am thinking about ordering some of the baking sheets or trays today too (I still need to get MY order in!). If you want an opinion from the Rep, she'd give you the honest truth. She's very real and won't sell you anything you don't want or need, she'd give you pros and cons of both. That's why I love her - she's real and will give you real opinions, she's told me that there are things that she doesn't recommend. If you want to chat with her, I can connect you.
I'm actually getting some gadget-y stuff for myself - digital thermometer, oil sprayer, garlic press, etc. Thanks for the questions....if you need anything else, let me know.
I second the deep covered baker! I LOVE it! Oh, and really inexpensive are the Quikut (sp?) paring knives. They are awesome.
Oh no! I thought the last day to order was the 19th???

I can keep the party open until the 19th, but I need to be sure I get the check from Pampered Chef ASAP, which is why we thought about closing the party tonight. I have to have all mail-in donations postmarked by April 2nd, so I'm just trying to be sure I have the check by then. If you want to order something but need until Friday, I'm happy to keep it open for you.
