mac girls what makes you love your mac?

What is so awesome and cool about your mac? Why would you never go back to a PC. I am a mac girl and would never go back but when I talk to others and try to explain my passion I often just say the same things over and over...haha it seems..like it just works!

Re: mac girls what makes you love your mac?

  • It's a drop dead gorgeous machine.  It works much better with Photoshop CS4 (and many other apps) than my PC ever did.  It's fast.  It's more protected against viruses than my PC.  It seems much more aimed towards creative individuals like myself that do photography and graphic design and allows me to work better and faster.  And...it's just fun!

Lack of viruses, processing speed, and searching capability. I've never had a virus with my mac (3 years old), but the PC I had before this had to be reimaged every year or it wouldn't function. The OS doesn't require much memory, so the code I run for work constantly runs twice as fast as a PC with the same amount of RAM. I also love the speed and accuracy of the Spotlight search. It searches within the code I write, not just the file names. Makes life SO much easier.

  • I'll take a line from my other passion...

    It's a Mac thing, you wouldn't understand :)

  • How about it doesn't make me feel stupid. Mac will ask you "are you sure" type of question 1x. PC 3 or 4 times.

The design is great. I don't have to really worry about doing anything. I still have 1st gen Imac's that I can fire up and it still works and wants to work.

It come with what I need right out of the box. I don't have to buy extra software right away.

When you get down to it. The best PC on the market that is comparable with a mac with speed and screen and all the good stuff it's about the same price.

  • I love how sleek mine looks! It's a beautiful machine.

It doesn't tend to freeze up and the one or two times it has, it was an easy restart.

    I don't get viruses.

I don't need to buy extra crap to make programs work. Everything is already there.

    No viruses.

I think Macs are user friendly, much more so than a PC.

I think the security is better and safer than that of a PC.

I find the sound and picture quality are SO much better.

    Have I mentioned no viruses?

Granted, PCs are cheaper, but it's a case of you get what you pay for.

    Multi-tasking is easier.

I don't feel the need to upgrade my Mac all the time the way my PC friends do.

My iPhone syncs SO much easier!

    And, no viruses.

  • I love my mac. To open any program or document I just type it into spotlight. I have four different spaces that serve as desktops and I can assign different applications to different desktops and easily navigate to them. I've never had any problems with viruses. Programs run. It's more intuitive. Do I need to say more?

One example. I use mac mail and the calendar. I get an email that says we have a meeting on Friday at 11am. I can hover over that line and it will ask me if I want to create a new calendar event and will add it to my calendar. Cool stuff like that just blows my mind.

Couldn't agree more with this!  And also because I need to work with Excel and Word formats too, I love that I have Microsoft Office on it :)
