Now that I am getting my own car, I'm starting to think about GPS... I get very nervous about getting lost and think I'd like to know I had back-up, you know? C has always said that I should get one when I start driving again (until now I've been taking public transit to work and she drives us everywhere else because I'm happy as a passenger :-) )
So I ask:
Do you have a GPS?
What kind?
Are you happy with it?
About how much did it cost?
Any info is greatly appreciated!

Re: GPS?
We have 2 and LOVE them. We both have the Garmin Nuvi 250. The only thing I don't like it that it says, "Turn right in 200 feet" rather than "Turn right on Maple St." But those models were more expensive and it really hasn't been a big issue. Other than that, we love them. It helps with directions, finding nearby food/gas/shopping/phone numbers - plus it is thin enough that we can slip it in our pocket if we are walking around the city and want to use it for directions or to find landmarks/museums/etc. We use it regularly. I just bought L one for our anniversary (yea, how romantic) and got it on E-bay for $117 (retail $150-$175.) It was new and in the box and works perfectly. I love E-bay.
TomTom - xl 330s (i think)
It talks to you and tells you the street names and where to turn. We love it, and since Boston is such a difficult city to navigate it has been a huge help.
It was $299.99
Target & Bestbuy have it
