Owen has hand foot mouth disease
Poor guy, at least we know what it is. The pedi saw sores in his mouth and throat.
It is going around like crazy in this area. Several of my speech kiddos have cancelled due to this, and Someone else in Owen's class at daycare has had it.
DH is coming home early so I can put in a half day.
Re: Owen has hand foot mouth disease
Oh, poor Owen! I think it is going around here too, b/c when we took O in for his fever 2 weeks ago they looked for that.
Hope he feels better soon!
she said the fever plus the sores are enough to diagnose.
unfortunately there is no real treatment, she said to continue the tylenol or motrin for fever and throat pain.
she also said we need to keep up his fluids to avoid dehydration, cuz of the sores, a lot of kids drink and eat less.
Poor Owen! It is going around Emma's daycare now too.
Poor litte Owen I hope it goes away soon!!? One of my assistant managers little one got it 2 weeks ago and had him out for almost 5 days.
Feel better Owen!!
