Re: Really?!

  • Wow, what a waste of packaging.

  • But boy are they moist and not stuck to each other.
  • yeah, that's pretty lame. I remember when these came out. I was like "whaa??"
  • I remember these coming out and thinking, "who gets suckered into buying these" although I suppose we're so used to everything being packaged to wihtin an inch of its life that lots of people wouldn't even think about it.

  • My SIL buys these and when I mentioned the ridiculous amount of packaging she gave the excuse that she likes that she can put them in her daughters lunch easier that way.  Poor poor excuse.
  • My gf actually caved when she was pregnant because she needed a prune in her diet a day... but the smell of them in the jar/bag made her vomit (literally), so she took one a day to work with her, kept it in her desk... She is usually really good about this, hated it, but it had a real purpose for her.

  • See, I can't imagine just eating A prune. They already come in packs of 5 (or so).
  • DH laughs b/c I get so annoyed when the commercial airs on tv.  They play it off as a sneaky way to add fruit to your kid's diet by making it look like wrapped candy.  One of the teenage actors says "That's SO cool!" -- really? Why??
  • Ugh what a waste of packaging.  What really bothers me is individual bags of chips, which are held in one big bag, and that big bag has a carboard bottom and the whole thing is shrink-wrapped Tongue Tied
