Does anyone know if phlox leaves stay green after it blooms? Or does it die back during the summer?

Garden phlox (the taller variety) are considered semi-evergreen. So in warmer climates they will be green all winter but in Ohio they should dieback in the fall. Not sure where you are in Ohio or where the cut off line is exactly...
