New to Mount Juliet Area

Hi, my husband and I moved here about 8 months ago for a job transfer my Husband took. I am 23 and my husband is 25. We are just starting to settle in and actually are hopefully closing on a house next week :) We are looking for a great group of friends just to hang out with whenever. We have two little dogs about 5 pounds each which are a hand-full tons of energy. I work at home doing accounting and billing for a data center., my husband works as an insurance adjuster. He loves to play hockey (he hasn't for sometime now but would love to start up again). I am trying to buildup my own wedding planning business here as well. That sums us up kinda lol -

I am really looking for a workout buddy in the area - I lost about 30 pounds before our wedding 6 months ago but have gained it all back, My goal was to lose about 40 pounds- stinks i throw it all away. But I am ready to start up again. Let me know if anyone is interested? or has a common goal that can help me stay accountable.

Thanks

Re: New to Mount Juliet Area

  • Welcome!  I live about 10 minutes from Mount Juliet.  You'll love the area!  Btw, as I'm sure you can see this board is very slow.  :)
  • You should check out Next Level Strength & Conditioning gym on Central Pike, just past Summit Hospital.  I have a friend who is a trainer there and it's where I normally train, but I've taken a break due to an ankle fracture.

There are a lot of girls our age that work out there at different times, and the owner does a girls boot camp periodically, usually on Thursday nights - good time to meet new friends.

Are you liking Mt. Juliet?  I'd imagine it's hard to make new friends working from home, but we love this area a lot and have found some good friends at church.
