How Do I Buy EF Lumber?

Any tips? I've check out lumber at Lowes and Home Depot but they aren't labeled as sustainable forest or anything like that, so I am guessing they are not.

Re: How Do I Buy EF Lumber?

  • I'm actually looking for lumber, too.  I googled variations of reclaimed and/or FSC certified lumber (also used wood) in my area.  I was surprised at how many places came up!

  • I look for the FSC logo on everything from paperback books to lumber, it is getting to be used much more widey now.
  • I found out about a recyclable building store in our city the other day...they have the perfect size lumber to use for my IL's raised beds (2x12"'s), so I think that's pretty green...they're re-purposed lumber. Check our your city to see if there is a resource like that.
