Lawn care recs

Our lawn needs some serious attention.  It needs to be fertilized and also needs weed control.  DH keeps saying he's going to do it but he's so swamped right now I know it's not going to happen. 

Does anyone have any recs?  We live in Manor.

We just signed up for Real Green. They haven't started yet so I don't know how well it works. We had good results with Tru Green in the past but Real Green is cheaper and they offer free aeration, which we really need. I've head bad things about Scotts.

FWIW, everyone we talked to said the best results are not going to happen until next year because the weed pre-emergents are a lot more effective than post-emergents...and our weeds are bad! We're spending all this weekend pulling weeds.

I made a note that Longhorn Lawns has been recommended by nesties in the past, but I haven't used them (yet). 

I'm looking for a service, too--the neighborhood teenager who mowed my lawn last summer was too unreliable to bring back. . .and my lawn needs attention!!

We are using Scotts for weeds because it was recommended by a neighbor. We also won free lawn service for a year and it will be sunscape I think that's the name. It's whoever does the landscaping for the neighborhood.

Another rec for Longhorn Lawns! I'm not sure if they do Manor, but it's worth looking into. They have been fabulous to my lawn (and thank gawd because I certainly have not been ... my neighbors may have gone insane if it weren't for Longhorn Lawns, haha)!

I love Real Green! We have had them for 3 years and switched from Scotts.  Our lawn is the only lawn in our street that does not have weeds.  It is pretty nice!

we're researching companies right now and were going to go with Tru Green since our neighbor uses them and has the best yard in the neighborhood but then my DH found Real Green online and they are almost half the price as Tru Green.

 So this cheap girl is probably going with Real Green.
