Rehearsal Dinner Restaurant Ideas in Portland?

Hello!
I'm wondering if anyone would have any ideas on a good restaurant to use for a rehearsal dinner this June. There will be approximately 50 of us, and I'm supposed to be in charge of finding a good place to hold the dinner. I live in Minnesota and have only been to Portland once. I know that we are staying downtown, so something close to downtown would be ideal for everyone.

Thank you for any suggestions that you have!

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Restaurant Ideas in Portland?

  • What kind of atmosphere are you looking for and what kind of price tag? Will it be casual? The Spaghetti Factory has a pretty cool location and the food is decent and very affordable. The Old Town Pizza is also a nice casual place. Check out the Travel Portland website for a list of restaurants. And if you have a few in mind that sound good we can provide feedback.
  • Bridgeport Brewery is a great place!  You can reserve a room for 50 people.  It is a great way to introduce the relatives to Portland!  We had our rehearsal dinner there last June and had a great time!  It was the first brewery in Portland.  The building is in a great walkable location.  We had a great time!  We had 50 out of town guests and they enjoyed it very much!  Good Luck!
  • We had our at Kell's upstairs in the banquet room and were very happy with everything

  • Check out Jake's Grill in the Governor Hotel.  They should be able to accomodate 50 people.  We had our Wedding Dinner there.  Our Private Dining Coordinator was wonderful and tremendously helpful!!!  We were on a serious budget ($30 a head) and he made it work!!!  The Food itself was o utstanding!!!  Here is his contact info!
