What's up with the water in Studio City/Sherman Oaks area

For the past few days our faucet water has been milky white...anyone else notice that? Weird. I have decided to boil the water to use to brush my teeth, face and cook with. Let me know if you have heard anything about that.

  • Yes!! I just noticed that today when I was filling up my dogs water bowl.....I live in Studio City area. So weird! I wish I realized it sooner when I was showering and brushing my teeth, bleh!!
  • I'm in West Hollywood and the same thing is happening. . .  it's kinda gross.
  • I just noticed the other day too when I was filling up the brita filter.  I thought it was because they've been working on the pipes in our building lately.  Weird!

  • Don't worry, its just bubbles.  It happens when the temperature above ground and the temperature where the pipes are differs.  There was a good piece on it in LAist.com.  Let the bubbles burst a minute and you're good to go.

MH called the city and that is exactly what they told him. Coincidentally, it started to clear up after the call :)
