I am trying to make a list of fun summer things to do in Buffalo for our playgroup and also just for those days when we need something to do! Do you have anything to add?
Buffalo Zoo
Splash Pad at Caz Park
Hamburg Beach
Hamburg Pool
Botanical Gardens/Feeding Geese
Chestnut Ridge bike ride
Darian Lake
Free Regal Summer movie program
Bounce Magic
Buffalo Science Museum
Explore and More Museum
Erie County Fair
Murphy's Orchard fruit and veggie picking
Art Park
Story Time (where?)
Strong Museum
Any other Buffalo summertime gems we are not thinking of? Thanks!
Re: Buffalo moms-help!
Not sure of your age group.. but the Sculpture Park in Springville is really cool.. There is a smaller area you could do with the kids that doesn't involve much "hiking"... you just can't do strollers.
Every story time I've been to in Buffalo sucks.. but they have them at B&N, Monkey See Monkey Do, B is for Books and a bunch of libraries.. (look on the library website).. You could probably do your own with your playgroup.
Depending on how far you want to travel.. you could do lots of different parks.. even Letchworth..
Oh.. and East Aurora does free family Movies in Hamlin Park every friday night in the summer.. at least they did the last 3 years.

I'm not a mom, but thought I'd add my 2 cents. On Saturdays in the summer there's a farmer's market at Bidwell Park and they usually have activities for kids. Also in the Bidwell Park on Tuesdays at 7 they have concerts and there are lots of children there dancing.
It sounds like you have a great list already! I wish I had that much fun stuff planned for my summer.
