Been working out 5-6 days/wk and watching my diet... since Jan 1st. I have also met with a trainer 1x/mo-meet w her again today-to show me how to switch up my routine as I workout at home...
Month 1-I gained and lost 2 lbs...
Month 2-NADA... which made me wonder if I had a thyroid problem, etc..., as did the trainer, but thought I'd give me another month... I've NEVER worked out this much. (mix of cardio and strength/cardio with weights)
Start of month 3-I changed from WW to The Daily Plate-counting calories. I'm down to 1600 cal/day-and wondered if I wasn't eating enough, but I'm also eating 'cleaner'... not clean completely, but not as many processed foods when I can help it. (ok, HAD to have the 400 cal Shamrock Shake...)
Today, I've lost another 2 lbs on top of the 2 lbs from 2 wks ago! I'm very happy to finally feel like I'm on the right track, but wow is it HARD this time... I did set up an appt w doc for physical/thyroid in a few wks and I've been majorly work stressing, so that could be a prob...
and I'm still giving myself a Pandora bead for each month I workout 5-6x/wk! I'm on bead #3 very soon!
So, just wanted to share with my support team! I was almost too frustrated for words, but this am got me motivated!
Thanks gals!
Re: Can I semi AW and vent?...
I think you are doing AWESOME! I hope the dr or the trainer can tell you something that will be helpful!
Also, don't forget that muscle weighs more than fat...go by how you look and feel! Strength training and cardio can definitely cause an increase in weight.
GOOD LUCK! You are on the right track!
Thanks Carli! I've taking measurements and noticed minimal change... thought it was medical for a while, so I think I need to check it out-at least before our cruise and bathing suit season up here!
And I wish you an awesome birthing day! The SKIDS just had theirs yesterday... time flies... Feels like yesterday when I met them, but it was over 4 yrs ago!
That's AWESOME! I hope my day goes smoothly too!!
I got the magazine and tried making a CE Turkey lasagne roll up meal and it was pretty good! I'm finding it interesting how DH is listening to the info I mention on clean eating... AND how regular processed foods seem too much-rich and just too salty (I wasn't a salt person before, anyway).
Working on small garden planning so I don't have to buy as much stuff... baby steps, but I think the CE might be what I need to do.
I know the # doesn't count, but it's just crazy doing it for this long and minimal results---why I'm getting a physical.
Thanks!
Way to go on the weight loss! Hope you get the answers you want from the dr's.
ps- I'd have that Shamrock shake too
Sweetie you are doing awesome! Just the fact that you have stuck to it this long while seeing minimal results on the scale is a huge deal. I would have thrown in the towel a long time ago. I do think it is wise to check with the Dr. to make sure things are ok, but I think you are doing great.
Im so glad that you reward yourself too. Makes it all the better. Keep up the good work and I hope things with the Dr go well.
Cassie-I met with my trainer today... I meet w her 1x/mo. She says she thinks I should see greater results, too, but I am needing to eat 5 fruits AND 5 veggies/day. She reviewed my diet and my workout (which I track both daily). I've been doing 5 total... oops! BUT says if I do that I should see a change. She kicked my butt today, though, and gave me some good workouts to do at home to switch it up. I wouldn't go to a gym-I've tried...
Thank you all for the support! Let's hope something comes out right here!
