Hi All,
I'm so super tired. Baby only slept 7 out of 14 hours last night. He's "talking" in his swing and is rubbing his eyes, but he won't stay asleep longer than 45 mins.
Anyway, I got a call from my mom in Jersey last night that my dad is in a hospital in Delaware. He was driving back to Virginia for work (he works in VA and drives home to NJ on his days off) and he had what almost sounds like a stroke-like experience. He said it got so scary that he had to call an ambulance. Just days before his doctor, having had an EEG, the doctor told him that he needed to watch his heart. He said that he was shaking and had a very high BP and they are running all kinds of tests on him in the hospital.
He's only 52 and although he's skinny, his diet has always consisted of bacon, eggs, burgers, pizza and the like. I hate the thought of him being in the hospital without anyone there. I hope they find out what is wrong with him and are able to treat it. He's so stressed out with so many things already that this is just one more thing that could send him into depression. His new work schedule doesn't provide him with any vacation for a year and so he hasn't been able to see or hold Benjamin yet. I'm worried about him and could use some thoughts/prayers. I'm not posting on FB b/c I'm not sure if my mom has informed any extended family.

Dad is back home. My sis picked him up from the hospital today. Apparently, they couldn't find anything wrong with him. It may have been a bad anxiety attack. He feels slightly embarrassed because he felt like he was having a heart attack, but the hospital reassured him that many people come into the ER thinking they are having a heart attack when it's actually stress or anxiety.
So, he has to alter his diet, start exercising and stop worrying about things beyond his control. I'm glad he's ok and I thank you for all your positive thoughts and support.
I am really looking forward to seeing him and the rest of my family next month for a week!
I'm so glad he is home, Virginia! That must have been so scary for him and your family.
I'm sure the exercise will help with the stress relief. Maybe he can do some yoga too!
Keep us updated!
I'm glad to hear your dad is okay. I can only imagine how nerve wrecking that was for him and your family. My father never wanted to modify his lifestyle until he had a health related scare, now he is walking every week and watching what he eats. Hopefully, your dad will do the same now.
I'm sorry you had to go through this. It is still scary. Take care of yourself.
