Chicago ladies.....please suggest
a hotel downtown in the middle of it all. not too pricey, but not too cheap either. Ladies & I are coming to town in October.

Another tip is to use Hotwire.com. They often have incredible deals on prime hotels in the area.
Because we're fancy like that.
That is going to be tough. Almost everything halfway decent is really, really expensive.
I'll echo everyone else - try Hotwire, priceline, hotels.com etc. to get a decent price. Otherwise you're over $250 a night from the get-go.
