Incahoots

HAs anyone ever been to incahoots in Mission Valley? I was thinking about going in a couple weeks with DH and another couple and I was just wondering what it is like. TIA

Also, on another note, did any of you do anything special for your 1 year anniversary if you have had yours yet? Like not the "what do you want" but something different? Ours in in Nov and I want to get him something that isnt like a regular gift you would get for a bday or Christmas, thanks.

Re: Incahoots

  • I used to go there a lot about 10 years ago.  I haven't been it a long time but it is a pretty good country bar.  The dance floor isn't real big, but big enough to get around on.  There are two bars, one downstairs and one upstairs where the pool tables are.  Also there is a nice outdoor patio to get some air.  If you are into line dancing they have dance classes at 6pm before they start charging cover.

For our 1 year, since it is the "Paper" anniversary.  I wrote down 3 restaurants that had something to do with our wedding, on three pieces of paper and numbered them #1, #2, #3 then had DH pick one.  The one he picked is the place we went for dinner that night.  Then after dinner, as a surprise, I booked a room at the hotel we had our wedding at.  As a gift, I got DH a really nice gold bracelet.  And as it turned out he got me a diamond tennis bracelet.  So it turned into the Bracelet Anniversary!  Plus, our annual Anniversary tradition is to go to Donovan's Steak House.  It will be 5 years on Aug. 31st.

  • I have not been to Incahoots in a long time but I remember liking it for a change of scenery.  I'm not really into country music but we used to go on Wed. nights for dollar drink night.  In my young, single days it was fun.  Smile

  • I've never been to Incahoots but have friends who like going there.

As for the 1st anniversary gift, I did boudior pictures and got an album made.  He loved them ;-)

  • Not sure about Incahoots but we went to San Francisco on our 1 year anniversary instead of getting presents. I was going to have pictures taken (similar to our engagement pictures... and it's the paper anniversary) but found out shortly before our anniversary that I was pregnant so I want to save the pictures for maternity pictures.

  • I too haven't been there since my single days.  Last time I went was about 8 years ago and it was fun for a country bar (I'm not really into country music but love to line dance).  I really enjoyed the outdoor patio when I needed to cool off from dancing and the people were very nice.

We were planning on going to Vegas for our one year but ended up buying our first home instead.  We just happened to sign offer papers on the day of our anniversary and then went out to dinner with our family to celebrate (at the restaurant we had our rehearsal dinner at).

  • We plan to take a trip for our anniversary each year.  Big, small, whatever works.  We went to Chicago for our 1-year and had a blast.  I love that so much more than an actual (material) gift.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
