pottery pictures & winery GTG
I haven't even taken a picture of mine yet because I've been in DC, but I promise to post one soon. I will say, though, that having seen the others I'm a little embarrassed. Mine does not look very good...
Now that it's feeling so nice out, I'm ready for our winery GTG. I will send out an email soon to pick a date, so send me a PM with your email address if you want to be included!
Re: pottery pictures & winery GTG
Here's my picture. The stripes didn't come out as well as I hoped; it wasn't easy getting the tape to lay flat.
Here's the picture we took at the GTG, but I didn't remember until we were leaving and Jen left a little earlier.
From L-R: Allison (abhokie), me, Darlene (luv2smile)
Thanks! I had a lot of fun and had the hardest time deciding what to paint. I would like to go back and try something else, for sure.
Where in Virginia do you live now? E and I are trying to explore the state some, since we don't know many people yet. We've been to Charlottesville and Williamsburg, but that's it.
Down in Chesapeake, a bordering city of Virginia Beach. I pph Charlottesville and Col. Wmsbg.
If you haven't been to NoVA yet - you need to check out Mt. Vernon - sooo much better than Monticello in my humble opinion.
Aw, I think it came out cute I'll work on posting mine here too since I've only posted it to facebook. Thanks Courtney for posting the picture too.
The next couple months seem to get getting really busy for us, but I'll keep my eyes open for the GTGs and see what I can make.
I hear ya on the history geek - I'm guilty of it as well. One of the many things my DH and I have in common. We were disappointed in the Monticello tour and learned more about Thomas Jefferson from a plantation that he helped influence the design of in Luray area.
You must see Mt. Vernon - you will understand more why we were disappointed with the tour.
Oh! And Col. Wmsbg is offering a special deal on their year-long passes for Virginia residents until the end of the month. Which reminds me that I still need to do that so I'm dashing to their website now!!
