I made my own deodorant and sugar scrub.

DH officially thinks I've lost my mind but admitted that he liked how they smell.

I can't remember who posted the recipes (I think it was SuperGreen?) but thank you!

Added bonus: I had an empty container from Salty Dawg shampoo and re-used it for my deodorant container.

Re: I made my own deodorant and sugar scrub.

  • How did you put deodorant in a shampoo container?  Was this the recipe with coconut oil, corn starch, and baking soda?
  • Can you post the sugar scrub recipe? I keep thinking I need to make one!!! I keep thinking that I need to find a good sugar or salt scrub to exfoliate... BTW, what is the difference between a salt scrub and a sugar scrub... am I making salt scrub up?

The basic recipe for either a sugar scrub or salt scrub is just sugar/salt + enough oil (I use canola because it's cheap, but olive or another cooking oil would work) to make a paste. If desired, add essential oils for scent. Or cinnamon works well.

Then be careful in the shower. It makes it slippery.

  • I wish the recipes were mine!  They sound awesome!  Could you share?
