Web-based calendar for group of friends?

I'd like to create a calendar for my friends and I for this summer, where we can keep track of things going on.  I'd like us all be able to access it and add events.

I googled and found a few things, but have no idea how user-friendly or reputable they are.

Can you recommend anything like this?  I did this about 6 years ago but have no clue what service I used.

TIA!

Re: Web-based calendar for group of friends?

  • My friends and I used to do this with Google calendars and it worked well.  We were all using gmail anyways so it worked out well for us.
  • Ditto Google calendar.

  • Yep, google calendar. You can create a new calendar designated for the group, then share it with the others.
  • Like all PP Google Calender is working out great to let my son's friends know where we will be (aka story time  & play groups)

I also have a play group thru a site called Mommyandme I don't know if you could work with that & make it something better for you.
