crib help, please

I know the drop gate cribs are not the safest but what about these?

The whole side doesn't drop on this just a small portion of it.  There is a lever on each side of the crib that have to be pushed at the same time to get it to lower.

WDYT?

  • I think it's really pretty!

Elise's doesn't drop at all, but it's not too hard to reach her.  When she was a little baby we had the mattress up higher.  Now it's as low as it can go but we don't have difficulties.

I think that one is very nice though!  I'm no expert though :)

mine is similar but doesn't drop down.  the only thing i don't like about mine, though, is the roll piece in the front.  it sticks out so when i go to lay the babies down, it pushes up against me in the stomach and i almost have to tiptoe to reach all the way in the crib.  not a biggie, but it's something i wish i would have thought about when i was crib shopping.

  • I would say that drop-side cribs aren't considered the safest. But, the drop-gate crib you listed is very safe. It's not the same type of crib at all.

I actually have one from that company, but the Kathryn Crib. My son is 2 1/2 and I've already converted it to a toddler bed. Which was free to do with the drop-gate crib because the gate comes down to be the guard rail for the toddler bed. It was so easy to do... well, for my husband to do. Big Smile

It is a wonderful crib, I've never been disappointed in the furniture I bought from them. I also have the Generation Next Combo Dresser, and it is very sturdy! (Strong enough to hold my toddler in the top drawer one morning!)
