any good lakes near Milford?

So since I cannot find the pictures from today anywhere and I don't have time to drive back to Hampton to re-create the day....can anyone recommend some good beaches / lakes near Milford.   Preferrably somewhere that has a clean sandy area and nice water.  Thanks.

Re: any good lakes near Milford?

  • I think there is a lake/large pond near either in Greenfield or Greenland (I forget which town) but it is by some camp grounds...I don't know how nice it is though...
  • Yes, it's Greenfield State Park. We were just there and it's not far from Milford at all (just past Wilton) and has a public beach and is pretty pleasant. It's kind of wooded but does have a sandy beach section.
  • Here are a couple of recent pics from Greenfield. It's pretty and since it's a bit out of the way it doesn't get that crowded. . these pics were taken on a weekend. We all went in the water too.
