Mac and Windows formatting for ipod
I just set -up my new ipod on my mac at home. Then
today when I tried to plug it into my PC at work it told me I needed to
restore it in order for it to work in windows??
Is there a way around this? Every other ipod I ever had I was able to
use on both.
Re: Mac and Windows formatting for ipod
Did it ask you to restore, or say something about being synced to another computer?
What are you trying to do with it on your work PC?
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
The reason the PC is asking you to format your iPod is that the Mac can read both Mac and PC formats but the PC can only read the PC format. You would have to get a third party software for this, or buy speakers for your ipod.
