Recommend your body lotion
Sigh...can't find one that works well! I have super dry skin, and have tried:
Alba Organic Kukui Nut oil
Desert Essence Coconut Body Lotion
KMF Lavendar Shea
Everyday Shea
I'd prefer one that I can buy in stores (wallet friendly, preferably) so in case it doesnt' work, I can easily take it back.
Thanks!

Re: Recommend your body lotion
Do you moisturize right after the shower?
I really like Alba Very Emollient, but I'm not sure its going to work magic, considering you've tried so much. Its just a good lotion.
I do moisturize right after I shower...and I still have yucky flaky skin a few hours later.

You might try switching to a cream instead of a lotion - more moisturizing. I think California Baby Calendula Cream is great - I started using it on my daughter but now I use it myself, too. You can get it at Target or Whole Foods to name a couple stores.
I've heard that, too...so I think I'll return the Everday Shea (which has unrefined Shea butter which is better than most) and try some. I've been trying to drink more water, but that's hard for me!

i like natures gate organics lemongrass & clary sage (i'm pretty sure that's the whole name!)
again, i don't know if it's as strong as you're going to need, but it works well for me
I also like Alba Very Emollient.
Another thought, are you drinking enough water?
How's your omega-3 intake? If you don't get enough in your diet, consider a supplement.
Also consider increasing your water intake and decreasing caffeine.
I'm currently enjoying Burt's Bees Milk and Honey Body Lotion. It's kind of thin, though, so I don't know if it is a very cost-effective product. It smells great, and seems to moisturize well.
I don't recommend Nature's Gate Skin Therapy lotion. It was a really good price at my grocery store, but it has a strong eucalyptus scent. I don't like smelling like a koala!
Thanks all.
I don't drink that much caffeine (1 cup coffee/day) but I know I don't drink enough water. Omega 3 intake probably sucks as well!
I did buy Alaffia Virgin Coconut body cream yesterday, so we'll see how that goes!

I've been using coconut oil for a few months and I love it. I open it up and set it in front of our space heater and it melts while I shower (thus making it easy to pour into the lid and let Mitzie lick up, because she has dry skin
). I suppose I'll just have to keep a spoon in the bathroom over the summer when it won't melt, but that won't be a big deal.
