Daycare

How much do you pay for daycare?  Is it a center or in-home?  If it's in-home, how many children are there?

Re: Daycare

  • We use a center in Wallingford. We go P-T @ $53/day for infants, F-T would be $250/week.  For centers in our area, the range at places we actually considered was $190-275/week F-T.

  • We use a center. It's FT, $220/week. (New Haven county)
  • We use an in-home daycare in SE CT.  We pay $30/day which includes all food/drinks.  It will go up to $35/day next month.  The maximum kids for in-home care is 2 under two and a total of 6, plus a couple more before and after school.  My daycare woman's daughter will be working with her starting next month so they will have more kids than that.
  • We use a center in Shelton, its $270/week for FT.  My daughter is 4 months old so the prices are higher the younger the child.  After 1 yr of age I think it drops by $20 or so.  We provide our own formula, bibs, bottles, diapers, wipes etc.
  • we currently pay for an in-home care (our home) 3 days/week = $440, YIKES!
