How tall is your raised bed?

And do you have issues with bunnies (if there are bunnies in your area)?

I'm going to need to redo some of our raised beds (currently 8" boards w/ about 6" of Mel's Mix) and considering doing them 12" tall instead.  Currently our beds are surrounded by removable fencing (about a 8-9" tall) but it's kind of a pain and I'd really rather have a taller bed than deal with it.

eta: they'd be 12" tall w/ 10" or so of mix in them...not still 6"

Ours are 8".  We get a few jackrabbits, but not a lot.

mine are 8" no bunny problmems (They prefer my pansies). I have small stones on the ground around my raised beds though and maybe that helps with the bunnies.

I don't have a huge raised bed, but my miniscule one is about 8" and I haven't had any problems living in VA.  I had a bunny ravage my camellia buds when I lived in MD, but I didn't have veggies then.

How do you get up leaves in the fall off the gravel?  Do you have a leaf blower or just no deciduous trees?  I've thought about gravel around them, but then I wonder what i'll do come fall...

There are pics in my blog, but basically the two deciduous trees I have are on the other side of the yard.
