Saratoga/Albany area - really awesome talk Wednesday
Hey ladies! I haven't posted on here much recently because work has been crazy. I just wanted to give you a heads up about a pretty awesome talk I have going on at work tomorrow.
Steve Squyres, the head of the Mars Rover program (Spirit and Opportunity), is giving a talk about the rovers at 8pm at Skidmore. He will be talking about the creation, launch, and operation of the rovers, as well as what they have found so far. The talk is free and open to the public and he is a FANTASTIC speaker. I was so thrilled when he accepted my invitation!
The talk is at 8pm tomorrow night (Wednesday, 3/24). It will be held in Gannett auditorium, which is in Palamountain Hall. You should be able to park in the main parking lot right next to Palamountain/Bolton.
Hopefully work will calm down soon and I'll be able to frequent this board a little more.

That's awesome - I wish I could go!
My friend is going through a bad break up and I promised I'd take her out for dinner.
The rovers are the robotic "explorers" that are on Mars right now (Spirit and Opportunity). They've been there for six years.
Here's NASA's rover website: http://marsrover.nasa.gov/home/index.html
Dar - Bummer! I was hoping you'd be able to make it!
