Salon Recs in Greenville/Simpsonville?
Hey all, I am seriously considering cutting off a lot of my hair for spring/summer. Usually I go to a cheap place for a trim, like Great Cuts or something, but I do not want to trust them with a major style change. They may be completely capable, but I'd feel better about a major style change at a more expensive salon.
So, do you have any recs? I have curly frizzy hair that can be managed with a straight iron, and I sometimes wear it curly also, so if anyone can suggest someone who is specifically gifted with curly hair that would be awesome!
Re: Salon Recs in Greenville/Simpsonville?
Hey! I have curly/frizzy hair and have had my hair ruined by a few salons (one decided to razor cut my hair - took 2 years of growing it out to fix it). I don't know where you live but if you are close to downtown Greenville I recommend Sandee at the Head Quarters Salon http://www.headquartersdayspa.com/ She has curly hair herself and knows exactly what to do.
Hope it helps. - Jane
I went to Ivy on Main Street in Greenville on my birthday and really loved my haircut. I felt like the stylist actually listened to me AND knew what she was doing! My hair is also curly/frizzy (I usually straighten it every day) but since getting it cut I've worn it curly and I'm happy with that too.
Since it's an Aveda salon they do have the annoying habit of pushing products. I did cave and buy a couple last time and I actually really like all of them!
What was the name of your stylist?
My cut was $45, I think. My stylist was Kara R (or Karla? I think it was Kara, and her last name is either Rock or Rigg). She was super cute and friendly, I really enjoyed chatting with her.
ETA: Her name was Kayla. It just hit me.
hey Vanessa,
I tried a few places since we moved down here and the one I have stuck with is Changes Salon on Woodruff Rd-in the same complex as Arizona Steakhouse/Northern Tool (across from Walmart/Staples. The gal that does my hair there is Brandy Seyfried.
the main # for Changes Salon is:864-288-4075.
Hope this helps!
