I have to start physical therapy =(
As I mentioned before, my knee starting acting up a while back, so I went to see an orthepedic doctor and had to get an MRI. Well, I got the results yesterday and thankfully nothing is torn. But it is weak, so I have to start PT to try to strengthen it. I go in Tuesday for my trail to determine the frequency needed. I'm really hoping I can work through this quick and just be back to normal.
Has anyone ever had PT for their knee? Anything I should know before I go in? I figured I would bring gym clothes -- they didn't tell me anything but I assumed going in my work clothes would become a hot mess real quick.
Re: I have to start physical therapy =(
I'm sure you'll see the benefits in no time! My knees are weak, but I can def tell the diff in them since I've been working out---I'm sure PT will help you and you'll see a dif!!
GL to you!
Gym clothes are a good idea. Plus it enables them to see if you are doing the therapy correctly or cheating on it.
The best thing I can tell you is that you will have good days and bad. Don't beat yourself up over the bad.

I ha dPT on my back when I was in an accident...I always went after work, I just wore looser fitting clothes those days, they didnt have me on a treadmill or anything, I dont know what kneww PT entails...but for my back it was a lot of stationary excersizes
I am a PT (but for kids). The main thing aside from what the other ladies have mentioned would be to be up front with your PT. Ask lots of questions, if you have pain tell them-we cant always tell. Ask what you should do if you are sore after, some PTs dont want you to take meds before hand bc it can mask the pain and then more injury can happen. Pain prevents further injury by making you stop the activity.
GL!
