Growing herbs in an indoor pot

I have herbs in a pot and I planted a bunch of seeds and I know I need to thin them out.

How far apart should they be?

Also, they are all sort of leaning towards the light, so I keep turning the pot and they keep leaning (every day). Do I just keep turning it?

Re: Growing herbs in an indoor pot

  • They probably aren't getting enough light.  You might put them under a growing light before they get too leggy.  You should keep turning the pot regularly.
  • Depends on what you're growing. You can google plant spacing.

I sometimes put a piece of aluminum foil on the back of the pot so that the light can reflect and hit the seedling from both sides. You can keep turning and/or try that.

  • Thanks I'm going to try the foil idea tonight!
