Another boring day for me, so I'm going to need some entertainment. Therefore, I'll probably be a postwhore today. Sorry in advance.

Nothing wrong with being a postwhore! Our board could always use a few more threads.

Tonight I'm going to make it back to Hobby Lobby, coupon in tow, to buy my fabric for reupholstering my dining room chairs this weekend. I went last Saturday and found a great fabric, but didn't have my coupon, and never made it back before 8 when they close. I also plan on filling up my new craft storage table with all my crafts so I'll be inspired to actually do some work! I'm a dork, because all this makes me ridiculously happy.

Good morning! Go ahead and be a postwhore. I have really enjoyed reading your decorating posts. You have great style.

There isn't much going on here today. I am actually off today, and DH went in to work an overtime shift this morning. It is just me and the kitties for a while. I have plenty I could be doing. The house needs cleaned, and I could be studying for my certification at work or for my test in Human Organization next week. But, here I am on The Nest, as usual!

Jealous that you have off. You could also do random housework and studying in between Nest breaks!

Floor plan I designed for the new house. I haven't been able to figure out how to change the color of the rooms (which, I'm guessing is supposed to show paint color?)

I am attempting to redo our bedroom right now. We are getting ready to paint, and I really want to find a new lighter comforter for spring and summer. But, I am just not having any luck.

Thanks! floorplanner.com -- I just used the dimensions of the rooms outlined in my MLS listing. So it's not perfect, but a decent representation.  

What color scheme are you leaning toward for the bedroom?

We are more than likely painting the walls SW Hearts of Palm. It's a green color. It matches our winter comforter, so I would like to find something with a similar color in it for spring and summer. The winter comforter is burgundy with flowers and vines in like green, brown, and gray. It is hard to describe, but I want to find something lighter like a quilt for spring and summer.

I wish I would have thought of that when we registered. The winter one is the one I registered for, and it really needs a break. And I want an excuse to buy a pretty spring one!

Honestly, we couldn't agree. That's why we did it. He wanted the darker, "sexier" one and I wanted a lighter colored fun, springy one, so we did both and assigned them seasons!

kaley, are you looking for a duvet cover or comforter?  With that paint color I bet you could find something fab!

I don't know what I'm going to do about summer bedding this year. We registered for an awesome Level 3 down comforter for the wedding, and it's been great for winter, but probably too heavy for summer. Boo.

Are we (DH & I) the only ones who need seperate blankets?  We are both blanket hogs and the only way we could both sleep is to have our own blankets.

DH finally has a weekend off where we have nothing planned so we are going to enjoy some quality time together.  Most of it will be spent trying to finish putting our apt. together.  We've been working nearly opposite schedules and I want his help with a few things so hopefully by Mon. we will have a presentable home!  That floorplanner may come in handy because there are a few furniture pieces we haven't quite figured out yet.

lucky, I usually buy my duvets/comforters over sized so that we're not tugging from the middle, but now that DH and I only share the bed two nights a week, that's not even really an issue anymore.

We had problems when we had the queen sized bed, but now that we have huge king sized comforters, there is almost always a corner for each of us. But there are still nights where I have to wake up and yank the covers back over to my side.

That is funny, but like Mamie, DH and I only share a bed about 2 or 3 nights a week. Really probably less than that because he is so used to being on night shift, that when he is home at night he is wide awake. He will come lay down with me, but he almost always gets back up. If he does manage to stay in bed we usually have no problems with the covers.

We've tried king sized comforters but we each like to roll up like burritos and subconsciously insist on using the entire blanket for this.  And now that I have a giant body pillow, it's like 3 people in a queen size bed.

Yeah, I suppose the body pillow is just holding Amelia's place until she is actually able to crawl into bed with us.

My wedding album just came in the mail, 9 months 5 days after the fact. I'm pretty pleased with it though.

lucky, I think Amy is a fabulous nickname for an Amelia. In fact, my sister used to tell me I was the mailman's kid and that my real name was Amelia.

You can all help me brainstorm baby shower ideas (themes, games, food options, etc.) and I don't mean tell me to google it cause I will! But a thread of ideas would be appreciated. It's a boy, btw.
