Best Wireless Router?

We currently have a Linksys Wireless G router and it cuts out a lot! We're thinking it's time to buy a new one.

We currently have 2 computers hooked up to it and my laptop, PS3, and wii are wireless, so i do need something that has enough ports for what we're manually connecting.

Any recs with your routers that you've had for 1+ years that haven't died on you in the middle of doing something?

TIA!

  • NETGEAR has been fabulous to us.

  • i have a linksys now that has worked great for me, but it is less than one year old. my netgear started doing what you're describing after a year or two.

  • I had a Linksys Wireless G router that did the same thing and after googling it appears it's very common.  Even a firmware upgrade won't resolve the issues.  I switched to a Netgear router and now it's working great!

  • We had a Linksys Wirless B router BEFW11S4 for 5 years.  We upgraded just because I couldn't think of a bday gift for DH at the time =)  I bought him (us) a Linksys Wireless N router WRT160N V3.  Huge Linksys fan!
