I gave him what he gave me...an offer of a gift I never intended to actually buy.
ETA: In the past I have given him signed Angels stuff
His birthdays' in September so I gave him Angels playoff tickets (as an early birthday gift), some CD's, Quiksilver khaki board shorts, Quiksilver shortsleeve button up shirts, T-shirts, hoodies, and boxers.
I might get him some All-Star game tickets as an early, early Birthday gift, but we'll see.

Took him out for a $$$ dinner. Christmas was two weeks later and for that I got him tickets to a Lakers game. I've also bought him dress shoes in the past and took him on a trip to NOLA (for his 40th).
I'm drawing a blank on last year's gift, we were in NYC so I know I didn't bring it with us......
but this year he's getting new mountain biking equipment, his request. I'm not very original (can you tell by my restaurant post?)
I seriously think we went to Outback, CPK, or Chili's.
