We ended up with Multnomah Tree Experts. They did a great job and were reasonably priced. Peter Torres is the contact.

I'm typically a Yelp user, which they have not reviews on there yet, but they had two great reviews on CitySearch.

I ended up singing up for Ange's list for the next 2 years to get further reviews for contractors. Yelp, citysearch and insiderpages have helped also.
