Any cute ideas for a spread?
OR... menu item ideas... we are thinking of having our families over at 11-12ish and i'm not sure whether to take the breakfast-food or lunch-food route?
Re: Easter Brunch

-biscuits and croissants
-whipped butter, marmalade and fresh strawberry preserves
-herb scrambled eggs
-glazed ham

-arugula salad
roasted leg of lamb
-new potatoes and asparagus
-strawberry cheesecake
-chocolate cupcakes
-carrot cake cookies

YUM!
We call ours brunch, but I think it's really a late morning breakfast. We have cheesy scrambled eggs, regular & peppered thick cut bacon from our favorite butcher, fresh fruit, fresh homemade blueberry struessel muffins, and fresh homemade orange cranberry scones. Everyone loves it, so we've not changed the menu in 3 years now.
We are doing a Brunch too!
Spinach and Bacon Quiche
Egg Casserole
Baked French Toast
Spinach Salad
Roasted Asparagus
Ham
Blueberry Muffins
Fruit
Dessert:
Lemon Curd Trifle with Fresh Berries
Carrot Cake
Wow! Can we come over??! Thanks for the inspiration.
do you use Barefoot Contessa's recipe? Just made those on Friday - so good!
What main are you serving? A ham? a roast chicken? lamb?
Side dish ideas could be:
A spring salad
Arugula pesto pasta with tomatoes and parm
Asparagus with lemon
Roasted new potatoes and carrots
Carmelized onion and goat cheese tart
Croissant sandwiches
Desserts like cookies, cakes, cheesecake bites, etc.
(All of thos recipes should be in my blog if you need, too)
It's a recipe my Mom found, but I think it's from Barefoot Contessa. The blueberry muffins are her recipe though and they are so yummy.

We're hosting a VERY simplified brunch consisting of two different egg casseroles. One will have veggies in it and one will be meat. We're also serving different muffins, mixed fruit, bacon, and making waffles. It's at 10:30 so it's really just a late breakfast in preparation for Easter dinner later on.
Your menus sound amazing though! Some of those ideas inspired me for wanting to host another brunch in the near future. Yum!
