to have bad days??
I think I am losing my mind. I'm pretty sure all my first graders got together over the two hurricane days to think of ways to drive me bonkers. I have all this crap in my room that doesn't belong to me and I can't do anything about it. I was hired less than a week before school starts so I still feel unprepared. I'm not familiar with the curriculum, the school, all those little things experienced teachers know....ugh.
vent over.
Re: Are teachers allowed....
Oh girl...you are in trouble. It was only your second day with the kids!!!!
Jacki, don't feel bad...two years ago I had WHOLE BAD YEAR! And don't even get me started on my first year teaching...I am afraid I may scare you out of the profession...
Stick with it...it will get easier, or you just learn to cope with it better. Just be consistant with the little boogers...
Well thank you for the positive words but I know I am a good teacher, I just had a bad day . I'm allowed to have those.
Yes! I teach first grade.. you can def. have bad days!!! You are human too..though the kids don't think so. When I started teaching I had a horrible start just like you. The class had NOTHING in it and I taught K then and it was the year of Charlie so we missed school days the first week (like this year). If you need an ear or some helpful tips please let me know!!!! I am happy to talk to you, I understand!
