Party rooms..

My Dad's 60th birhday is coming up in June, and my Mom and I were thinking of throwing him a small surprise party. We aren't really sure how many people would show up (most of his family and close friends are out of town) but we are stuck on where we could possibly hold the event.

We are trying to think of a nice restaurant, that would have a private party room, that can hold..hmm, lets say about 15-20 people max..East side preferably (willing to venture to the West side if need be)..not too expensive..a good variety of foods.

Any suggestions??

Re: Party rooms..

  • Here's what I can think of that aren't super expensive...

    In Cleveland Heights area:

Nighttown, Taste (at Cedar Lee), Mad Greek, Gaurino's (little Italy) and Brennan's Colony all have private rooms or more separated seating areas.

    Downtown:

Bricco (near playhouse square), RJ Boland's (E. 4th), Flannery's (E. 4th), Rock Bottom Brewery (not sure about the private room)..

The Winking Lizard in Lakewood also has private catering areas.  If you want further east than the heights, you could check some of the chain restaurants in Beachwood.  I've never looked into those at all.

Also, you can rent out Shaker Lakes Nature Center and bring your own food and booze... which might be a less expensive option.

    HTH!

  • I know the mentor ice arena rents out party rooms in the summer and winter. The rates arent bad at all..you can probably find info on the website
  • I'd like to recommend Americano www.americanocleveland.com

They have a very nice party room on the top floor of Bratenahl Place that provides really amazing view of the lake & the city.  The food is amazing and if you're into wine, Cole, one of the owners, is spot on for recommendations.
