Epilator?

If you use one, please recommend yours!

Re: Epilator?

  • I got the Epilady chic a few months ago to see if Id like epilating.  It was $30 from QVC so relatively inevpensive.  I like that its corded so I dont run out of battery.  I have very coarse leg hair, and the first time I used it it took a loooong time.  I could see this working very well on arm hair of other finer hair.  I like it as an intro to epilating, but I think I'm going to order one of the Emoji ones.  the are more expensive, but very highly reviewed.

  • I have a Braun Silk-epil Xelle epilator that I've had a for a few years and like.  I can't say I love it, because I don't do it often enough so it hurts.  Wink  If I would keep up epilating enough that it didn't hurt I'd love it.

It has a cord, and it also has a little light on it.  I didn't think the light would make a difference, but it does.  You can totally find little hairs you missed with it.  I'm so used to it that I don't think I'd use one without a light.  : )  Mine came with a few different heads which was nice to start out with.

  • I have the same Braun Silk-epil Xelle epilator that Em mentioned, and I do love it!  I have to say though, with any epilator, you are more prone to get ingrown hairs.  I've found though that with a sharp tweezer I can move away the thin layer of skin covering the hair and pluck it out.  Works great, only problem is I now have little red marks all over my legs from it!  Sad  But as long as you exfoliate well and shave maybe once a month to remove dead skin, the epliator really is a quick and easy way to remove hair.
