Tea Tree Oil for blemishes
What's the best way to apply? I don't want to fully switch to OCM, but I've been seeing a lot that tea tree oil can help with blemishes. My bottle says don't apply directly to face though, so I'm assuming I need to dilute it somehow, so I'm looking for a safe ratio.
My skin has been breaking out like crazy, so I thought this might be a nice alternative to try.
TIA!

Re: Tea Tree Oil for blemishes
I would try taking a hot wash cloth and putting it over your face (like a make shift steamer)
Then I would dab some tea tree oil (on a cotton swab or ball) to your areas with acne. I would not put it all over your face...i made that mistake once and it stung like hell!
I know Body Shop makes a tea tree line for acne too! I use some of their products (especially the mask) and I love it!
I haven't tried tea tree oil yet, but I keep thinking about it... eventually!
This is what About.com has to say about it:
"Undiluted tea tree oil may cause skin irritation, redness, blistering, overdrying, and itching when applied directly to the skin. The concentration used in the only study to date was a 5% tea tree oil gel, which was applied to acne prone areas.A 5% tea tree oil solution can be made by mixing 5 parts tea tree oil to 95 parts water (e.g. 5 mL tea tree oil and 95 mL water)."

Where does everybody buy their tea tree oil?
I put some witch hazel on the corner or a wash cloth, add a drop of TTO and apply it that way.
This. And I put it on dry patches on my scalp and really any skin ailment I run into.
