Orange County Schools closed tomorrow!
I can't believe this...my first week of school and already two "hurricane days"!!!
Re: Orange County Schools closed tomorrow!
It would be sooo nice if we could start school after Labor day...I know we would have to go longer in June...but it would be so much easier...now my lesson plans are TOTALLY SCREWED!!
Yeah, Seminole schools were open the only bad day...today. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday...closed. Sucks, I really need to get some work done, but DD is home again!!
I agree with you! My DH is a teacher at OCS and we were already in bed when they called him to say it was cancelled at almost 10. I thought that was annoying.
I am late on this, but Orange County made the announcement around 9:20 and we always follow what Orange County does on the 1st day. (I am at a private school and this week has been totally odd!)
Well, lots of teachers and parents call me and we don't know if we are suppossed to go to school or not. They never changed the website or voicemail -- it still had an old message from days ago. NUTS!
It ended up that we had school -- even though every other school around us was closed. (They offered excused abscences, but most people came to school despite the crazy wind and rain)
It ended up being fine -- it was just some of the commuication was very off.
Like most teachers, my lesson plans are off -- but a few days won't kill me! I am looking forward to a full week of school. (I can't believe I said that -- hee hee!!)
I am so looking forward to an actual week of school! A full week! I don't think we have to make up any days since we try to build a few days into the system . . . thank goodness!
I will actually get to see all of my students -- I dind't get to se over half of them last week due to school closings.
