Ok most of my life my friends have been guys. I have had a few occasional girl friends but not many. Well I have become very close to this lady...yes I would call her my best friend. It is great! I love being able to talk about woman things with her. Well she made a comment the other day that somewhat has me confused....we were talking about how close we are as friends and she confessed that she had never had a friend as close as me before. She feels like she can talk to me about anything. For the most part I feel the same way about her. She then said she wished we had more time together and that she was jealous of my husband. To me that is a very strange comment. What do you think? I tend to over analyze everything....
Re: Is this strange to you?
I think it would depend on how she said it and in what context. I could see that comment being made as a joke and seriously.
Are you thinking she has romantic feelings towards you?
LOL, no. Not in the slightest. She is a very OCD type personality. So am I. The context the conversation was in is that she wishes she could spend more time with me. She is jealous of the time my husband has with me and she doesn't. As it is we go to the gym about every other night together and talk the full hour+ that we are there. We are together atleast 1 day out of every weekend for atleast 4+ hours or so....our kids play together alot too. BTW we are both in our early/mid 30's
This is exactly what I was going to say.
Also, I wouldn't worry too much right now, new relationships can be kind of intoxicating. I remember spending tons of time with a good friend of mine in the early part of our relationship (we worked together, had lunch every day, hung out after work and on the weekends) and eventually we were like "whoa, too much of a good thing, we're getting on each others nerves." Now she lives in NYC and I miss her like crazy!
Just enjoy the friendship and, if it gets too intense step back a little.

Very good points and VERY true. Thanks ladies!
Oh, I very much enjoy my time with her too. Again female friendship is kind of new to me. I have had a man say that to me before but never a woman. She is a great friend.
