Separating garden from lawn?
Last year we seeded the front lawn (still needs work, but that's another issue) and I left a section along the fence for flowers. So far there is nothing separating this garden bed from the lawn, and I'm hoping to get some suggestions for what to do. There are some serious roots not too far underground that make it pretty much impossible to sink any kind of edging into the ground in a straight line, and I'm worried about building up any kind of wall above ground that would make it hard to mow the lawn. What would you recommend?

Re: Separating garden from lawn?
I don't use anything around my front beds. I use a square shovel to edge out the beds and that's it.
In the back, we've used rocks to edge out the beds, but that's just because we've dug out a ton of large rocks while expanding the gardens. We can't mow all the way to the edge, but we use a whipper for that.
