decor question - picture frames
Would you put brown picture frames on a brown wall?
Our bathroom is painted a dark chocolate-ish brown. I am going to hang pictures of lakes in Michigan, they are all blue-yellow-gray pictures. Some pink with the sunsets. What color frames? My first choice would be brown frames, but would you put brown picture frames on a brown wall?

Re: decor question - picture frames
Hmm, I can't picture it. In my head, even a totally different shade of brown fades in too much. I guess I'd have to see it to know for sure, though.
I'm not sure if it would go with the decor of the room, but maybe white or another light color that matches the paintings? Like blue?
If there's other black in the room, you could even do black, but from the way the pictures sound, I'm leaning towards a lighter color.
I think brown frames on a brown wall would blend too much.
How about silver frames? I think brushed silver (the kind that isn't shiny) would look good with the colors in the picture, and still be neutral with the other colors in the room without blending in.
